INTRODUCING THE MONTGOMERY GRATITUDE GARDEN
Thanks to Build United - The United Way and LeChase, the Aesthetic Agricultural Awareness Program is in full swing at S.W.A.N Partnerships with Americorp and Urban Ecologists, who worked this summer to assist our Senior Program participants with maintaining the over 100 vegetable plants and flowers installed this summer.
The Garden was dedicated to Viola Curry, Senior Nutrition Program Coordinator and Ted Morris Sr. Facilities Support. Viola has been employed at Montgomery Center for over 40 years. Her dedication to the Agency and the Community is phenomenal. Viola has been instrumental in bringing joy to the lives of residents throughout the southwest and beyond.
Ted Morris was instrumental in the preparation, planting, watering and maintaining of the garden. He worked on July 4th in order to ensure the garden was in top shape for the dedication.
